Story:
Aaha Kalyanam is the story of two
youngsters who turn wedding planners and plan their own wedding at the
end. Sruthi [Vaani Kapoor] is a final year student planning to become a
wedding planner, as the wedding business is thriving in Chennai. On the
other hand Shakthi [Nani] is a go-lucky youngster who doesn't have any
plans for life. Shakthi meets Sruthi in a Sangeeth Party hosted by
Chandralekha's [Simran] Event Company and starts following former. As
the story progresses both start exchanging views. One fine day, Sruthi
explains her business plans to Shakthi about starting self business as a
Wedding Planner, but Shakti doesn't take her plans seriously. As the
story progresses Shakti plans to support his father and has no choice
other than Sruthi's wedding planner idea. Shakti-Sruthi team up for
Gatti Melam with terms and conditions not to mix the professional and
personal lives.

Performances:
Nani steals the show with his bubbly performance and his diction brought instant laughters.
Vaani Kapoor proved her mettle. In her second film and the debut Tamil film she has excelled with performance.
Other characters like Simran as wedding planner Chandralekha, Badawa Gopi as the flower vendor and others did their parts well.
Technical Analysis:
Debutante director A. Gokul Krishna is
to be lauded for choice of his cast and crew, who supported him in every
frame. Though the movie is passable, Gokul need to concentrate much on
dialogues as they appears very normal. He has to improve his skills on
narration and screenplay too.

Dharan Kumar has come up with appealing
tunes for Aaha Kalyanam music album so as are his background scores for
the movie. Songs look much appealing and colorful, Punch song is much
likable with visuals.
Yash Raj Films has lavishly produced
Band Baaja Baarat remake in South India establishling their successful
production house here in Tamil and Telugu film industries.
Analysis:
Director A. Gokul Krishna has done a
xerox of Band Baaja Baaraat and succeeded to max, but being very
familiar Aaha Kalyanam appears boring at parts. Nani and Vaani's
chemistry tickles on screen and it is one of the main reasons to go
watch Aaha Kalyanam besides colorful frames.
Most of the movie is concentrated on
lead pair, do there is no question on discharging from the storyline or
theme. Dharan Kumar's background scores keep up to the narration pace.
Final Verdict: Go watch Aaha kalyanam if you have free time to pass classy...
