Watch Damaal Dumeel in theaters near you for the climax...
Performances:
Vaibhav has to be
credited for his performance in most of the scenes, but falls flat in
emotional sequences. His comic timing brings huge laughs in theater and
are natural indeed.
Remya Nambeesan has done her parts well. She is not given much space but crucial for climax.
Kota Sreenivasa Rao and Sayaji Shinde
are the biggest strengths of Dumal Dumeel, they take the credits for
most of the frames. Especially, Kota brings the roof down with his usual
dialogues and mannerisms in the climax.
Technical Analysis:
Shree being a debutante director scores
the best for his dialogues, screenplay and handling enough comedy in the
tense situations. Where as the emotional sequences could have been done
well.
SS Thaman has come up with apt music.
Three and a half songs have suit the bill well along with background
scores. 'Dumeel' sung by Usha Uthup is the pick of the album.
Editing by Paramesh Krishna is major
asset of the movie as the one hour 58 minutes running time excludes
unwanted commercial aspects.
Analysis:
Damaan Dumeel marks the promising and
confident debut of director Shree. He has come up with an engaging
script with right mix of entertaining factors without exceeding the
limit of any flavor. He has to be appreciated for choosing such
promising lead characters who has given their best till date. Movie is a
sure entertainer and one has to look out for climax.
